PADI Rescue Diver Course

Prepared for any eventuality!

A PADI Rescue Diver is a diver that is prepared. A diver that is knowledgeable and skilled. A diver that is ready for anything.
A PADI Rescue Diver is also a fun diver! One that has the skills and training to help in situations if anything happens and a perfect buddy to dive with because they are not only looking out for themselves but everyone else around them!

Whilst we all hope that we never find ourselves in an emergency situation, as a PADI Rescue Diver you will know exactly what to do, but even better…you may even be able prevent or stop a situation developing.

Enrol on the PADI Rescue Diver Course with Island Divers and we will not only guide you step by step through each element of the course but we will also share our experiences and encounters along the way to mould you into the ultimate rescue diver!

What is included in the course?

PADI Rescue Diver Crewpack (Including Manual, DVD and Pocket Mask)
Theory sessions
A self-rescue review (from skills learnt in your Open Water)
An introduction and practice of the 10 core Rescue Skills
2 Rescue diver scenarios
Option to complete the PADI Emergency O2 Provider Speciality at a discount!
Certification Card

To become a Rescue Diver, you will need a current First Aid certificate. If you have one, that’s great! If you don’t, no worries! We offer the Emergency First Response course as a bolt-on to your Rescue Diver course.
The Emergency First Response course is a hands on day spent in the classroom learning vital CPR, Primary and Secondary Care skills including use of an Automated External Defibrillator. The skills you learn will not only transfer to the PADI Rescue Diver Course but also, everyday life!

Note: Sometimes the conditions may not be conducive to diving around the Island but fear not! We use inland dive sites on the Mainland (Vobster Quay and Andark Lake) which do incur additional travel and an entry fee that is not included in the course – Entry fee is usually around £21 per person.

Rescue Diver Course only – £395

+ Emergency First Response Course (£175) £550

+ Emergency 02 Provider Speciality (£150) £625

* Please note, all courses are valid for 12 months from day of purchase.

Site entrance fee: There is a fee for open water dives requiring entry to an inland dive site, payable daily by the student. Any boat costs if relevant, will be agreed prior to the course.

Full SCUBA Equipment is required for the Course. If you need any equipment, you can hire this from Island Divers – just give us a call!
